This is a snapshot of what I’m doing right now.
Talks
- Rails Meetup Kathmandu. Gave a talk titled The Emperor has no clothes. It's a ruby version of Thorsten Ball's How to build an agent blog and how to do it in Rails.
Building
- Using Codex as my primary coding assistant for work. Extremely good. Surgeon with scapel on the codebase. Absolutely amazing.
- Using Claude Code when I want to prototype something really ambitious. Claude usually fills the gap and makes the leap of logic that codex doesn't.
- Claude went through my upcoming talk's piece to build the entire thing and the agent inside from scratch and did everything by itself, walked out of corners it couldn't a month ago, and ran for an hour straight. Wild stuff fr. It's getting really good. That 14hr Claude time horizon might as well be true. My jaw was on the ground the whole time. I just needed to get out of the way. Ampcode guys were right again, coding agent is dead, the model carries us all.
- Getting OpenClaw to manage my life. I didn't consider I'd have more messages to read and manage.
Learning
- Redoing Execute Program and watching Destroy All Software screencasts again.
- Going back through ampcode's chronicles and guides and building stuff by hand.
Exploring
- Background coding agent workflows (inspired by udara.io and Minion by Stripe and Inspect by Ramp).
Off-screen
- Listening to Sailor Song.
